Central PA Jedi Sith Alliance Practice RSVP
Everyone is welcome at the Central PA Jedi Sith Alliance.
If you have any interest in Star Wars, lightsabers, costumes, or choreographed stage fighting, come to a practice and see if the Alliance is for you. No experience is necessary — most of our members started with none. There is no charge to try it out.
What a practice is like
Practices run about two and a half hours on Saturday evenings, typically 6:30–9pm. You’ll spend your first night learning basic lightsaber forms and safety with an experienced member.
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes you can move in. Costumes are absolutely not required; plenty of us practice in a t-shirt and sneakers. Come watch for a while if you’d rather ease in — that’s completely fine too.
What to bring
A water bottle and a love of Star Wars — that’s really all you need. Many of our members keep extra sabers on hand to lend to newcomers, so you don’t need to buy anything before your first practice.
If you already own a saber and want to bring it, do — but don’t plan to use a toy or display lightsaber for practice, because it will break. If you’re not sure which yours is, bring it along and an experienced member will take a look.
Where we meet
We mainly practice at the Tree of Life Lutheran Church, 1492 Lingelstown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
We occasionally meet at other locations around the Harrisburg region, so check our website or reach out to confirm the exact location before you come.
Bringing kids
Children aged 13 to 18 may attend but must be accompanied by a participating parent or guardian. We are happy to have teens participate with their parents, but keep in mind that our members are not responsible for babysitting or supervising. The responsible adult accompanying a child is expected to oversee their participation and behavior. Kids under 13 are not eligible to participate.
